It was rumour from a long time that activision is bringing Call Of Duty: Warzone to mobile devices and its confirmed.

According to a corporate announcement in a blog post, Activision is developing a mobile version of its famous free-to-play battle royale shooter game Call of Duty: Warzone. They are presently looking for positions in production, engineering, design, art, and marketing to help build the game.

Activision said Thursday that it is bringing its popular battle royale game Call of Duty: Warzone to mobile phones. "We are developing an all-new, AAA mobile experience that will bring the exhilarating, fluid, and large-scale action of Call of Duty: Warzone to gamers on the move, This large-scale, battle royale experience is being built natively for mobile with cutting-edge technology designed to entertain gamers around the world for many years to come.”

Mobile versions of popular shooters can be quite profitable, as Activision has discovered with its own Call of Duty: Mobile. According to Sensor Tower, Activision's Call of Duty: Mobile, created in collaboration with Tencent's Timi studios, has crossed $1.5 billion in worldwide lifetime player spending across the App Store and Google Play Store since its October 2019 launch. Its sales increased by 45 percent in 2021 compared to the previous year.
The whole shooter genre had huge growth in the same year, with global mobile game spending on the genre increasing from $5.7 billion in 2020 to $6.3 billion in 2021.

Otherday Activision Blizzard have also announced they are bringing the World of Warcraft game to mobile and  its one of the biggest franchises diablo: Immortal is also coming to mobile devices some time this year. So it is safe to say that Activision is taking mobile market seriously.
