The latest update from Nothing Phone 2 has finally enabled the activation of ChatGPT; here's what we know.

Nothing has unveiled a fresh Nothing OS software update, introducing the widely acclaimed AI chatbot ChatGPT to owners of the Phone 2. The integration of ChatGPT within the Nothing X app has been enabled by Nothing, a feature also compatible with their newly launched Nothing Ear (a) TWS earbuds. Once the earbuds are paired with your device, this app facilitates voice access to OpenAI’s chatbot. These functionalities are set to roll out to the more affordable CMF products in June. Notably, users of the Nothing Phone (2) will gain access to the ChatGPT voice feature when their earphones are linked to their smartphone.

The latest Nothing OS 2.5.5 introduces a new ChatGPT widget, enabling users to initiate the chatbot in various modes directly from the phone’s home screen for quicker access. Additionally, the recent update includes a button on the screenshot and clipboard pop-up, allowing instant pasting of content into a new conversation in ChatGPT.

According to the company, the updated Nothing X app will incorporate some of ChatGPT’s functionalities into their latest earphones. Users will also need to ensure they have the latest version of ChatGPT installed from the Play Store. When available, Nothing Phone (2) users can start a voice chat with ChatGPT using gestures from Nothing Ear or Nothing Ear (a) earphones connected to the phone.

Furthermore, the new update offers additional features for Phone 2 users. The camera app now supports Ultra XDR, accessible through Camera Settings> Ultra XDR. Additionally, the Photo and Portrait Modes within the camera app feature an HDR switch, allowing users to activate or disable it via the top-level settings.

In addition to these enhancements, the update introduces a new feature named RAM Booster. To activate this option, navigate to Settings > System > RAM Booster. Furthermore, Nothing Phone (2) models will now include a new Ring Mode option in Quick Settings, simplifying sound management for users.

Moreover, Nothing has integrated a new Recorder widget into its Android skin, enabling users to conveniently record audio while on the move. The OS will also incorporate a new Battery widget, enhancing battery consumption monitoring. Additionally, developers will discover a Glyph Interface Debug Mode within the developer options.
