Transform Your iPad into a Nintendo DS Powerhouse with the Delta Emulator—Coming Soon!

The Delta emulator caused a major stir upon its recent debut on the Apple App Store, swiftly claiming the top spot in Apple’s free apps ranking, where it continues to reign supreme. Now, developer Riley Testut has announced that an iPad-specific version is nearing completion and will be launched alongside Delta version 1.6. While the app is currently accessible to Testut's Patreon supporters via the regular AltStore, the impending release promises to optimize the iPad's full screen real estate for enhanced skins, potentially transforming your tablet into a colossal Nintendo DS Lite experience. Moreover, it's reported that the native version will support iPad Split View, opening up exciting possibilities for multitasking and immersive gameplay.

After rolling out the iPadOS native version of Delta, Testut plans to focus on implementing 'device-to-device multiplayer' functionality into the app. While multiplayer capabilities already exist within Delta, they are currently limited to single-device usage, which is ideal for playing on a TV using AirPlay but may introduce lag. The introduction of device-to-device multiplayer would enable players to connect with others on their own devices, offering a more immersive and seamless multiplayer experience. This feature, especially if it supports online connectivity, is anticipated to be a highly anticipated and welcomed addition by Delta users.
