Apex Legends' next-generation update will be released tomorrow.

Apex Legends players on Xbox Series X/S and Playstation 5 have been wondering when the battle royale would get the same next-gen upgrades that many other games have received since the consoles' release.

Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that Apex Legends upgrades for the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S consoles will be available tomorrow in conjunction with the new Warriors collection event. Until now, the battle royale shooter has had versions that were shared across console generations. However, when the update is released — usually around 1PM ET — console players will finally be able to join PC players in having natively rendered 4K (except on the Series S), HDR, better shadow maps, and greater level of detail distances.

Unfortunately, there is no set date for future updates to the next-gen version of Apex Legends, but Respawn has listed the features they expect to bring to the game over time. The major omission from the initial release is 120Hz gameplay, which is at the top of the list for future additions. According to this list, Apex Legends will also support haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on the PlayStation 5. General audio and visual improvements are near the bottom of the list, but no specifics are provided.

When the Warriors event launches on March 29, Apex Legends' next-gen update will be available to all players on Xbox Series X and S, as well as PlayStation 5. Xbox players will automatically receive the updated version in their libraries, but PS5 players will need to follow several steps (detailed here by Respawn) to get the next-generation version.

Recently  EA also announced Apex Legends Mobile port and also available for pre-registration in all countries.
